Seattle Chocolate incorporates Coffee Flour in two bars
Seattle Chocolate Company is doubling down on its use of coffee flour as a key ingredient in its confections with the launch of it’s a Super Chocolate Dark Chocolate Truffle Bar, which the company says is “powered by coffee flour and cocoa nibs.” The bar is made with 60% dark chocolate, but it “reads a little bit darker” because the tannins in the coffee flour and cocoa interact, according to Ayla Janukajtis, a marketing manager for Seattle Chocolates. She explained that the bar has a smooth melt-away center and uses even more coffee flour than the company’s jcoco Arabic cherry espresso in dark chocolate bar, which the company says is the first chocolate infused with CoffeeFlour’s dried and milled coffee fruit powder.
