The first snacks to give dried Brussels sprouts top billing, Wonderfully Raw's organic & gluten-free Brussel Bytes impressed Datamonitor Consumer innovation insights director Tom Vierhile, who says they “hit almost every currently trending hot button in the food industry today, including raw, vegan, gluten-free, paleo, non-GMO, and organic”.
He adds: “Everyone is looking for the ‘next big thing’ since kale hit it big, and Brussels sprouts could emerge as the next hot vegetable ‘superfood.’ Brussels sprouts in a snack form are certainly a novel alternative to chips, cookies, crackers, and so on.”
Available in Pumpkin Seed Crunch and Tamarind Apple Crunch variants, the snacks use dried Brussels sprouts and raw coconut as a base, mixing in other ingredients like kale, carrots, apples, and pumpkin seeds.
