As for clean labels, while dietitians might see this as 'hipster nutrition' in that going non-GMO or ditching unpronounceable ingredients doesn't necessarily make a product 'healthier' or more nutritious, consumers still see it as a proxy for health, said Dr Kemp. "It really resonates with our consumers."
