Online grocer Peapod is “not in the grocery business, we’re in the meals business,” said CMO Carrie Bienkowski, who stressed that successful food shopping platforms deliver meal solutions, not just ingredients. They are also increasingly catering to the ‘Netflix & Chill’ generation… ‘homebodies’ who like to stay in, she said.
